How would you like to empower women to take charge of their health and the way they birth?
Did you know that you have the opportunity to assist women through their pregnancy keeping them physically fit, increasing their self-esteem, and greatly reducing the need of interventions during childbirth, as well as preparing their bodies for quicker recoveries?
You can enjoy a passionate career while earning a generous income and time to enjoy the life you want to live. With approximately 323 births per minute in the world there is an endless pool of clientele.
With thousands of personal trainers in the world, competition can be fierce. However, did you know that a personal training career is one of the fastest growing professions in the health and fitness industry? According to the US Department of Labor, “Employment of personal fitness professionals is expected to increase much faster than the average for all occupations through 2014”.
Working for a health club or gym offers both income and perks, but they typically take about half of your revenue. Being your own boss allows flexibility, however, more responsibility. Whether you prefer to be an employee or self employed, your career will be optimized with the Fit For Birth Prenatal Exercise Specialist Certification.
Today you may be a personal trainer or a new mom. Maybe you just found out you are pregnant? Maybe you are a childbirth educator, doula, lactation consultant or a “9 to 5er” looking for a new and rewarding career. Relax and rest assured you are in the right place, no matter what your present occupation.
Fit For Birth Prenatal Specialists not only love their careers, they love their lives and the rewards of sharing the beautiful journey with each pregnant client.
Conception, pregnancy, and child birth are some of the rarest and most beautiful phenomena known to man, and because of the many physical, emotional, and hormonal changes occurring, it is necessary to become an expert regarding exercise and the effect it has on the pregnant body.
As a certified prenatal specialist you will interact with the pregnant client much more frequently than their health care provider. For example, in the first and second trimester the pregnant mother may only see her health care provider once a month, whereas you will see her weekly, if not more often. She will be coming to you with lots of “normal” pregnancy questions and complaints. Although you are not her health care provider it is important that you know and understand the normal changes in the pregnant body and the usual complaints through each trimester as well as “red flags”.
The goal of the Fit For Birth Prenatal Certification is to share our knowledge to give you professional tools and expertise to provide your pregnant clients with safe and effective exercise programs for both her and her baby. At the same time, you have the opportunity to empower her to take control of her health and the vehicle she will choose to give birth.
The Fit For Birth Prenatal Exercise Specialist will provide you with the confidence to:
- Design and implement safe and effective exercise programs, as well as alter them when needed. (one day a certain exercise may feel great, yet the very next day it may give your client heartburn or a feeling of discomfort)
- Explain to your clients the benefits of exercise for both mom and baby.
